It's Ric's Turn

Some pieces just don't fit nicely into a category.  They seem to be more of a combination of design ideas.

I have been working with wood most of my life.  Since 1998 I have focused primarily on the art of woodturning. While I do spend a fair amount of time turning, I do enjoy other pursuits and probably don't update this site as often as I should.  That being the case, come on in, look around and let me know what you think.

Available for instruction or demonstrations upon request.

LIKE WHAT YOU SEE?  hAVE A QUESTION?  i'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.

In April, I did demos for the Waxhaw , the Southern Piedmont and the North Carolina Woodturning clubs.  More info is posted on their websites.

My vases are turned and hollowed using a wide variety of wood species.

I must say, North Carolina has an abundance of wood that's  just plain beautiful.  While some of my bowls are utilitarian, all are a unique mix of art and nature.

Instructing at John C Campbell Folk School.
